For me, the most important part of life is finding people that I can relate to. Even though I have over 850 friends on Facebook, 420 followers on Twitter, 510 followers on Tumblr, and a bunch of people that read this blog, there are pretty much only a few people in my life that really understand what I’m about and how I work. It’s kind of bizarre… you’d think that with over 1500 people in my general sphere, I’d be able to find a lot more people who I can really relate with. This is something that I’ve always struggled with. I used to have problems making friends, even though I was always generally friendly… I was just a weird kid, and now, I’m a weird adult. hahaha I really enjoy being weird, but sometimes it gets a little hard since most people don’t get it. I have strange mannerisms, I talk too much for a guy, and I really like science fiction and video games… To be honest, Darwin would probably consider me out of the gene pool.
You know, I’d really enjoy being able to say, “Have you ever felt like _____?” and have someone respond with “Yes, I have” more often. Most of the time, people just look at me a bit confused, but maybe that’s what it’s like to live in the body? Maybe it makes people a little bit less aware of all the thoughts that pass through our minds? I happen to be stuck in my head so often that pretty much all of my awareness can be categorized into either a feeling or a thought.
I’m just curious, what is the most important part of life for you? What are you living for? What gets you going? I’d love to talk to someone about this… It’s honestly one of my favorite things to talk about; people’s motivations for fighting through all the bullshit that the world throws at us (of course there are blessings, but we’re focusing on the bullshit right now).
