Every once in a while, you experience this moment in your life where you just feel SURE. Sure about where you are in life, where you want to be, the people that you love, and the things you deserve. It’s like you’re at the top of a mountain and can finally see the whole way “there”. The rest of the time, you find yourself shambling through deserts bounded by those distant mountain peaks that, topped with visions made cryptic by miraging distortion, demand we approach them. While logic tells us that each step brings us closer, our heart tends to feel further with each of those steps.
But then you suddenly realize that you’re at the top of the mountain you’ve been staring at (and losing faith in). At this point, you feel the breeze of accomplishment on your skin and feel compelled to look out and see every valley, river, desert, and mountain peak ahead. You raise your arms up high to celebrate and shout word of your achievement to all who reside below you. Then, you create a plan for how you’re gonna reach the next peak taking each of the obstacles you’ve seen into consideration, and once you have a plan, you start to make your way back down, but discover that as you descend, you start to lose that clarity you had at the peak.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could jump from peak to peak and escape the uncertainty? Well, it’d be too easy if we could.
All you can do is learn how to make the most of the peaks and enjoy the ride between them :)
